The Government initiated the Assam NMMS Scholarship 2024 to support the financially weaker students to further continue their Higher Studies. The selected students will get the scholarship amount of INR 12,000/- every year for a maximum duration of four years from classes IX to XII. The Ministry of Education has established guidelines which states that parent’s income should not exceed INR 3,50,000/- per annum. The officials conduct exams to help children who want to continue their studies. The government started this initiative to promote quality education to every student, as most of the students started doing jobs after secondary classes. Assam NMMS Scholarship 2024
The selected students under this scholarship program will receive the stipend of worth Rs. 12,000/- per year (that will be 1,000 per month) for the students of classes IX to XII. Students who wants to pursue their higher studies but due to financial issues they are not able to continue their studies and are meritorious as well this scholarship program supports financially and in providing better education for their future assistance.
Several other state authorities including Maharashtra Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir and many other states will release NMMS registration forms in October 2023. Last dates of NMMS form may vary depending on the state or Union Territory

Objective Of Assam NMMS Scholarship 2024
The top most objective of the Assam NMMS Scholarship 2024 is to provide opportunities to the meritorious students who are coming from the economically backward section of society. Students will be provided the scholarship award in the form of amount of worth Rs. 1,000 per month till the end of the 12th board exam. This scholarship programme also provide motivation to the students so that they can participate confidently in competitive examination.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Assam
- Students who have passed class VII and is pursuing for Class VIII will be eligible for the scholarship
- Must have secured minimum of 55% marks in Class VII
- Students of reserved category will be given 5% relaxation in their score
- Students studying as regular students in class IX to XII in a Government, Government aided and local body schools for a maximum period of four years
- Annual family income should be less than INR 3,50,000/- per annum

Selection Process
- The NMMS examination will be conducted for the selection of students by the Assam State.
- Students are selected on the basis of Merit and reservation from the list of eligible students for Scholarships
- The list of selected students is then sent to the Central Government.
- In order to continue with the scholarship program continuously for four years, the prescribed marks must be achieved in the succeeding classes
- Applicants must have scored at least 55% marks in the class VIII examination (50% marks for reservation category)
