The objective for AICTE Swanath Scholarship

Benefits for AICTE Swanath Scholarship
- The annual single payment to the students for their college tuition, computer purchase, stationery, books, equipment, software, etc is Rs. 50000. There won’t be any extra money provided to cover lodging, medical expenses, etc.
- Scholarships for degree candidates will be given out for 4 years while those for diploma candidates would get them for three years.
- The scholarship will last for 3 years instead of 4 if the candidate is now enrolled in 2, 3, or 4 years of study toward a degree.
- The scholarship will only last for two years if the candidate is now registered in 2 or 3-year diploma courses.
- The scholarship’s payout will be made using a direct benefit transfer method.
- Only students enrolled in courses and programs recognized by the AICTE are eligible to receive the grant money.

Eligibility Criteria
- Any of the following categories should have candidates: orphans, parents lost to COVID-19, or children of military personnel killed in combat.
- Throughout the application’s fiscal year the student’s combined family income cannot exceed Rs. 8 lakh annually.
- The State/UT Government must submit and issue a legitimate income certificate.
- No scholarships sponsored by the central government, state governments, or AICTE should be awarded to the student.
- The student must register in normal mode courses at the degree or diploma level at institutions and universities recognized by the AICTE.

- The Competent Authority has given a certificate of current year income for the Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces who were slain in action.
- The mother’s or father’s death certificate if either specifically states that COVID-19 was the cause of death for Candidates Whose Parents Passed Away from COVID-19.

Selection Procedure:
- Candidates will be chosen based on their merit in the results of the 10th standard test for a diploma program and the 12th standard exam for a degree program.
- If the two candidates are tied, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
- Should the age criterion be ineffective in severing the relationship, the family’s yearly income will be taken into consideration. A higher ranking will go to families with lower yearly incomes.
