Tamil Nadu Kalvi Fellowship 2023 was launched by the Department of School Education Government of Tamil Nadu for the post of Fellows, and Senior Fellow jobs in the Government of Tamil Nadu. Undergraduate Students are eligible to apply for this fellowship government jobs. Under this scheme individuals who have recently cleared class 12th can form a group and teach lower classes. In spite of functioning as a volunteer, the individual will also be awarded some money in exchange for their services.
Tamil Nadu Government introduced the Fellowship program across the State to encourage Education among the youth. State is also facing the shortage of teaching staff. So to reduce the disruption in education caused by the shortage Tamil Nadu Government implemented this fellowship.

Objective of Tamilnadu Kalvi Fellowship Recruitment
- Main objective of the scholarship is to promote the education in the state. Tamil Nadu is facing lack of teachers and with the help of this fellowship state can overcome from this problem.
- Tamil Nadu Government launched this scheme with the aim to promote education among students of Classes 1st-8th, the government of Tamil Nadu has come up with a new fellowship program – Illam Thedi Kalvi 2023. Under this scheme, individuals who have recently cleared Class 12 can form a group and teach lower classes. In spite of functioning as a volunteer, the individual will also be awarded money in exchange for his/her service.
- With the introduction of the Illam Thedi Kalvi 2023 scheme, the primary objective achieved is the strengthening of education levels in Tamil Nadu. Eligibility Criteria
- Volunteers must be willing to work with children for at least six hours per week (or) volunteer part-time.
- To converse with children and teach Tamil, English, and Mathematics
- Volunteers must be fluent in Tamil. (Equipment and training will be given.)
- He/She should take part willingly and without being forced.
- Volunteers must be at least 17 years old to apply.
