Objective of Sanskrit Scholarship

The main objective of this scholarship program is to promote and support the study and research of Sanskrit, Pali, and Prakrit among students at different educational levels, that includes including classes 9 to 12, Under Graduation, Post-Graduation, and Ph.D. This initiative aims to support and encourage students to pursue their passion in Sanskrit, Pali, and Prakrit, and understand this ancient and culturally significant language.

Eligibility Criteria of Sanskrit Scholarship 2023

Those students who are studying in classes 9 to 12, Under Graduation, Post-Graduation, or Ph.D. level, are eligible to get this opportunity.
Applicants must be Indian citizens residing in India.

Academic Qualifications

  • For classes 9 to 12: Students must have a minimum aggregate score of 60% in their previous academic year.
  • For Under Graduation: Students must have successfully completed their 10+2 education with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
  • For Post-Graduation: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
  • For Ph.D. level: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Sanskrit or in any relevant field and must have a strong academic record.
  • Applicants must possess a strong command of Sanskrit, as evidenced by their academic records or any other relevant certifications.
  • This program aims to financially support disadvantaged students who need financial support to continue their education.

Selection Procedure 

  • This initiative will be given on the based of recommendations of the selection committee.
  • The officials will provide the recommendations which are announced by the committee to the GIAC for the final process.
  • The authorities will create a list of rewards on the cutoff percentage list in the previous classes.
  • Scholarship amount will be given to the beneficiaries on the bases of their courses.
