Eligibility Criteria
Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students:
- Students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) group who have been admitted to a full time specified program at accredited institutions and have a total annual family income up to Rs. 8.00 lakh are eligible for scholarships under this scheme. The institution’s general selection criteria determine eligibility.
- Parents and guardians who are self-employed are required to provide an income declaration in the form of a certificate from a revenue official with at least Tehsildar level. Parents and guardians who are employed must get an income certificate from their jobs. If there are additional sources of income the revenue officer must provide an all inclusive certificate. This scheme automatically considers students who graduated from Central/State/Municipal Government or Government aided schools in their 10th grade (KVS schools are not included). - When there are more qualified applicants than available spots, scholarships are awarded to the top students on the basis of the inter-se merit list while taking entrance requirements into account.
