Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarship 2024 formally known as Korean Government Scholarship is a fully funded Korean Government Scholarship that is open for international students who are interested in pursuing their undergraduate degrees from Korea. Objective of Global Korea Scholarship
- The objective of the Korean Government Scholarship Programme is to promote the international Exchange of Education.
- The Korean Scholarship Programme are created for international graduate or undergraduate students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree in business management, research programme or a PhD.
- Fields are not limited, all candidates will get plenty of options to pursue their careers. Candidates can apply either by submitting their documents to Korean Embassy of their country or directly to the Domestic University of Korea.

Benefits of Global Korea Scholarship

Selection Procedure
- Initial shortlisting of the applications for the Korean Scholarship Programme is done by the MHRD.
- A merit list is prepared of all the applications received.
- The weightage is given to institutions of national importance/centrally funded educational institutions and NAAC-accredited institutions from where the applicants have completed or are pursuing their qualifying examination.
- A total of 15 applications are shortlisted which are further sent for nominations to the Korean Government. Thereafter the Korean Government shortlists only 10 nominations for the award of scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria is as per program:
For Undergraduate Program:
- The applicants should not be more than 25 years of age
For Graduate Program:
- The applicants should not be more than 40 years of age
For Master’s Program:
- The applicants must be less than 45 years of age
- The students must be bachelor’s or equivalent degree holder
For Doctoral Program:
- The applicants must be less than 40 years of age
- The students must hold master’s or equivalent degree
For Research Program:
- The applicants must be less than 45 years of age
- The students must hold an invitation from one of the National Institute of International Education (NIIED) designated Korean University
For Post-Doctoral Research Program:
- The applicants must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent education
For Professor Exchange Program:
- The applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalent education
For Program for Education, Science, Culture(International Professionals):
- The applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalent education

Application Procedure of Global Korea Scholarship
Applicants can apply through two ways such as Embassy Track or University Track and can apply online also:
Embassy Track:
- To apply through embassy track applicants will have to submit the application to the Korean embassy in their own country.
- In the embassy track applicants can choose three different Universities situated in South Korea
University Track:
- To apply through a University Track you have to submit the application directly to the Korean University where you wish to apply for the course

- Select ‘Korean Government Scholarship Program’ and click on Apply Now button
- Fill up the application form
- Attach all the important required documents
- Submit the application form
