Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Buddy4Study India Foundation to support students with disabilities, transgender students, first-generation learners, orphans, single-parent children, and sportspersons to help them cover their educational/sports expenses and enable them to fulfill their dreams. Jyoti Prakash Scholarship 2024
The Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program offers scholarships to students belonging to various categories, such as students with disabilities, transgender students, first-generation learners, orphans, single-parent children, and sportspersons. These students can avail of scholarships specific to their beneficiary category by completing the online registration process. Scholarship recipients will be able to pursue pre and post-matric classes with the financial support provided by this program. To access these scholarship funds, students must ensure that they complete the online registration for the Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program. Objectives of the Jyoti Prakash Scholarship

Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program for Transgender Students:
This scholarship will only be awarded to the students belonging to the transgender communities so that they will be inspired to pursue or carry out pre and post-matric classes from the accredited university or school. This scholarship will be provided to the students undertaking classes from 9th to 12th, UG, and PG degrees.
Devaraj Arasu Scholarship 2023
Eligibility:
- The student must be Indian.
- The candidate must be transgender.
- The student must be pursuing classes from 9th to 12th, UG, and PG degrees.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 6 Lakh.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in last year’s exam.
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities
Financial help and support in the form of scholarship amounts will be provided to the students belonging to the Person with Benchmark Disabilities so that they will be able to carry out pre and post-matric classes. Variable scholarships will be provided to the students based on class or degree opted by the student.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Students having 40% disability or more
- The student must be pursuing classes from 9th to 12th, graduation, and post-graduation courses.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 6 Lakh.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in the last year’s exam.
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program for First-Generation Learners
This scholarship will be provided to the students so that they will be able to pursue classes from 9th to 12th, UG, and PG degrees with the help of scholarship amounts provided to them. The students will need to make sure that their parents are holding the profession of daily wage earners, drivers, farmers, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, security guards, etc.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Students whose parents are non-graduates and are daily wage earners, drivers, farmers, gardeners, plumbers, electricians, security guards, etc.
- The student must be pursuing classes from 9th to 12th, graduation, and post-graduation courses.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 3 Lakh.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in the last year’s exam.
Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program for Orphans & Single-Parent Children
This scholarship will be provided to the students who are orphans or single-parent children so that they will be able to get the government financial help and support to pursue classes from 9th to 12th, UG, and PG degrees. Students will be given scholarship amounts based on the class or degree to which they have been admitted.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- He or she must be an orphan or a single-parent child.
- The student must be pursuing classes from 9th to 12th, graduation, and post-graduation courses.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 6 Lakh whereas for orphans, the annual income of their guardian must be less than Rs. 3 Lakh.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in the last year’s exam.

Jyoti Prakash Scholarship Program for Sportsperson
With the help of this scholarship program, the students will be able to carry out sports activities such as athletics, badminton, chess, cricket, golf, hockey, table tennis, kabaddi, football, volleyball, tennis, boxing, archery, shooting, etc. This scholarship will only be provided to students who have enrolled themselves in any sports activity.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Sportsperson who has represented at state, national, or international level in the last 3 years.
- He or she must be a sportsperson.
- The age limit must be 14 to 25 years.
- Applicants must involved in sports such as athletics, badminton, chess, cricket, golf, hockey, table tennis, kabaddi, football, volleyball, tennis, boxing, archery, shooting, etc.
- The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 6 Lakh.

- The last date to Apply for the Scholarship Programme is 3rd October 2023. Apply before the last date of application to get rid of server-hanging issues.
